Your Top 5 Design Trends for Summer 2019

Summer is finally here. Time for picnics, beach days and BBQs—and time you got wise to the steamiest summer trends for your Showroom. Keep your selection cool for the hot weather with these Top 5.

1. Life’s a Beach

It’s highly unlikely that your customers just get to hang out at the beach all summer, luxuriating and oiling their legs. But you can bring a little bit of the beach to their dull, fluorescent-lit office routines with these sunny additions to your Showroom:

The world is your boardwalk. Choose loose, light oversized shirts and long tank tops to bring the beach look anywhere. For women, our roll-cuff T-shirt makes a perfect laid-back look. And for the guys, the summery colors of our Heather Prism Ts or the slim fit tank will conjure up beachy vibes wherever you are. Perfect compliments to the “2019 Calendar of White Sand Beaches You Really Wish You Were Lying On.”

Beach bags. In case you haven’t noticed, eco is in. And for good reason! Opt for earth-friendly organic tote bags this summer for trips to the beach (or to the office). They’re a greener alternative to our classic tote bags.

Beach please! Focus your summer designs on California vibes, palm trees, waves, or beachy sayings.

2. Back to the 80s!

Totally tubular, dude. The era of fluorescent leg-warmers, outrageous perms, and flickering neon has returned. Catch the 80s wave this summer and kit out your Showroom with these design ideas:

  • Neon signs à la Flashdance
  • Blindingly bright colors– go bold or go home!
  • Channel your inner Bowie: think lightning, stars, and glam
  • Cassettes, roller skates, arcade games and other “high-tech” wonders of the past

Sporty college styles from the 80s are totally on-trend this summer. Think color-contrasting cuffs, retro fonts, and of course cool college or sports designs. To really get the Hawkins look, go for our vintage sports T-Shirts (available for men, too), Ringer Shirts or Baseball-T-Shirts.

3. Agh, my eyes! 80s color craze

Pink! Yellow! Mint! Violet! Coral! …All of them at once! In the 80s, the whole concept of “over the top” hadn’t been invented yet. Have fun with these wild throwback colors by including them in your designs. If you really want to go retro, you can incorporate them into your showroom theme as well.

Still want to ride the trend-wave without your Showroom looking like the inside of a Pac-Man machine? Channel those bright colors into designs featuring flowers, fruits, landscapes, or animals.

 4. Summer in the City

Rooftop bars, ice-cold cocktails, open-air concerts. Summer in the big city has its own special magic.

For your urbanite or hipster customers, go for the modern minimal look with black or white tops that make your designs pop. Draping, loose fits are in: check out the men’s v-neck T-shirt or the summery women’s tank from Bella.

 5. Say it loud, say it proud

Statement shirts and oversized typography are on-trend all year round. Express yourself, whatever the topic: political causes you care about, environmentalism, puns, or whatever you’re passionate about.
