How to copy a post (or page)
The plugin we’ll use to add post duplication to WordPress is called Duplicate Post.
You can install and activate it from the Plugins menu in your WP admin dashboard.
Once activated, navigate to the Posts or Pages menu. Hover over any post and you’ll see two new links.
If you click the Clone link, you’ll stay in the Post menu and a copy of the selected post will be made. If you click New Draft, a copy will be created and you will be redirected to the post editor for the new post.
In other words, both links do virtually the same thing. And that’s all you really need to know about duplication
Customize the copy settings
Basic duplication might work fine for you, but this useful plugin includes a variety of additional settings.
You can select exactly what content from posts you want to duplicate which is awesome.
The Duplicate Post Options menu is available under the main Settings menu (Settings > Duplicate Post).
Bulk clone posts too
If you have a bunch of posts to duplicate you’ll love this feature.
Duplicate Post is fully-integrated with the bulk-editing tools in WordPress. While in the Posts menu, you can select as many posts as you want using the checkboxes and switch the action drop-down selector to Clone, like this:
Click the Apply button and every selected post will be duplicated.
Easy post duplication
While WordPress doesn’t come with this feature included, it’s easily added with the Duplicate Post plugin.
The duplication settings and bulk editing tools are a nice addition too. You can get precise control over how you copy posts with this plugin.
